About the teacher

On the road in California...

Mr Henderson was born and raised on the wild west coast of Victoria, BC.  A lover of outdoor pursuits, in his early 20's he began a life-long love affair with surfing, which continues on today.  Whether it's getting up at 5 am on a Saturday to head out for a dawn-patrol session with his buddies, or making a road trip down to Baja to surf in warmer water, Hendo is always up for the adventure.

Mr Henderson's favorite subjects are English and Spanish.  To keep himself primed, he reads a lot of books and travels to Spanish-speaking countries whenever he can.  Mr. H is looking forward to taking 18 ESQ students to Spain in March of 2014 and showing them around his favourite spots.

When he's not working or surfing, Mr Henderson can probably be found somewhere close to home, relaxing and enjoying the company of his sweetheart.
